These clues are extremely helpful, especially on the 5x5's but the concept is the same.

Example "The Clue" - The 4 people are Jim, the one who left monday, the preacher and the one who ate shrimp.

Looking at the grid find where all four of the items (Jim, Monday, Preacher, Shrimp) intersect and put an X in all the squares where these items intersect individually.

When you get done with the clue you should have 6 X's on the board on a 4X4 puzzle and 9 X's on a 5X5.

I find it helpful to do this particular clue first since you have a clean grid to work with.

Hope this helps.

Four people were the one with the 42 baseball cards for instance. On the line with the 42 baseball cards you would mark a check, not a positive for every other thing across the line on 42 and then in the grids going down from each. 42 cards, Karen, dog, and ocre house. from the top of Karen's line going down you mark "dog and ocre house" with a check. From the top of the dogs line going down you mark ocre house because the dog did not have the ocre house and neither did Karen or the 42 baseball cards. Hope this helps.
