Puzzle help: multiple one or the other

I'm always stumped with this. Getting to this step took me 20 minutes.

Adam is neither Wilbur nor the winner of the chicken wing contest, so according to clue #6, he can't be from Vincennes or have started at 11:45. That should get you a bit further.

For those "Of A and B, one is C and the other is D" ones, I usually go through it as:

"If A was C, it wouldn't be D and... whatever else C is not in D's category." Same with if A was D, if D was A, and so on.

From clue 5, "of Vincennes and Ollie" rules out Francis, Zachary, and Raleigh. (Francis and Zachary can't be Vincennes and they aren't Ollie, Raleigh can't be Ollie and it's not Vincennes)... So Francis, Zachary, and Raleigh can't be 11:15 or watermelon

How did I not see that? Wow. I was thinking too deep to pay attention to names. Thanks.

Some of the inferences you can make from the clues are very good at hiding from your brain. Practice will help you learn where and how to look for the ones you don't spot immediately.

Mm and another thing that might help..

Hopefully the image isn't TOO confusing. But if you follow empty spaces left/right/up/down you can also eliminate some (read: a lot of) things.

Such as:
Hot Dog can only be 12:00 or 12:15. Because Vincennes and Wilbur are neither 12:00 nor 12:15, they cannot be Hot Dog.

Francis can only be 12:00 or 12:15. Because Chicken Wing is neither 12:00 nor 12:15, Francis cannot be Chicken Wing.

There's a vertical example in your puzzle as well.. involving Vincennes and Chicken Wing, if you can spot it.
