Default Levels of difficulty

Hi! Love having logic puzzles to solve, though I am terrible at them.

Is there a way to choose the difficulty of the puzzle?

Hi Dandylyon -

Welcome to the site! There will be a way in the near future for you to select the types of puzzles you want to solve, but at the current time no, it is not an option. All puzzles are delivered at random. You can, however, help yourself along if you get stuck by clicking the ? (help) tab on your solving screen and requesting a hint. The system will tell you whether or not you've got any errors on your current board, and will also send you one true pair relationship to help you along your way.

Like most other things, the more you solve, the more you'll improve over time.

Thanks for playing!

I would love for there to be different difficulty levels, with more difficult problems getting more points. You could also have the difficulty be randomly selected, the same way it is on the cryptograms site.

Hi flutefish -

Thanks for your comment. This will *definitely* be how the site will function in the very near future - I estimate that we'll have this in place by mid- to late-September, if not earlier. We will likely also allow registered players to select a game preference via their profile which will determine the types of puzzles they'll be sent, i.e.

- Easy only
- Easy and Medium
- Medium and Difficult
- Difficult only
- All puzzles

That way beginners can focus more on learning the basics via easy puzzles, and more experienced players can hone their skills on puzzles which match their preferred difficulty level.

Thanks for playing!
