If you are good at speed reading or speed scanning, start with hints that are solid. Example: "Josh is the the one that always eats bananas." then move to the two option hints such as "Tom either likes watching Mighty Mouse or Looney Toones." Then click to x them out and move onto the more cryptic hints. Look for key words, such as "either" or "neither," to know which hints to do when you have more information filed out. If you have to clear your puzzle bc you have too many wrong, try working the hints from bottom to top. Some times changing the order of the information you start with will help. I know all this seems like a lot of work, but once you try it a few times and get the hang out it, you will see a difference.

Good Luck!

Default For the 5x5 puzzles...

... I quickly dispatch, "the five people are..." clue. If you do it first, it's easy to see you got all nine Xs on the grid. Then I go after the definite clues, "Sandy is the guitarist." Next I go after the conditional clues, "Of Larry and the geologist, one arrived at 3:00 pm and the other at 6:30 pm." After doing the definite clues, the conditional ones usually follow. Finally, I re-examine, "the five people are..." to see what else I can coax out of the statement.
Good luck
