Default Just curious

I can't help noticing how Zenobia always seems to land on very even scores eg, 300000, 600000 and now 750000. How do you do it?

We don't have much control over the points awarded unless we set a new record or place way to the right of the normal curve.

Penalties add to the completion time which reduces the score, so if you create enough errors or request enough hints, there is a high probability that you will get the minimum score.

There is a fixed, predictable minimum score for each puzzle type.

Once you can predict your score with a high enough probability, you can land on a particular, target score number most of the time.

This doesn't work so hot when the puzzles are brand new in the library because either the median hasn't been established or the median is so high that it's difficult to guess how many penalties are needed to get the minimum score.
