Question about points

Do you always get 10 points for a completed puzzle or do you get more points if you solve one faster? If more, what's the max amount of points one can get for solving a puzzle here?

There is a formula for both the 4x5 and 4x4 puzzles.

Still just getting 10 points, even when I finish between 15-20 minutes. So I take it that's all you get?

By algebraically manipulating the algorithm for the 5x5 case, to score 10 points, you need to spend 1575 or more seconds solving the puzzle. That is 26.25 minutes. A higher total time gives you a score of 10 as 10 is the minimum points awarded for a finished 5x5 puzzle. Applying the same analysis to the 4x4 algorithm, to score 10 points, you need to spend 1095 or more seconds solving the puzzle. Again, the minimum score is 10 points, no matter how long it takes. 1095 seconds is 18.25 minutes, which fits your time frame. I know it seems impossible to solve quickly, but if you persevere and work hard, the puzzles will begin to make sense and your scores will rise. Keep trying...

Just did a while ago, got to under 20 and over 100, I believe 139 or something. Is there a way for me to find how many points I've gotten for past puzzles and my total points so far, since becoming a member?

Ah okay, over 100 looks like that's for under 15 minutes.

Just did 12 minutes for 284 on a 4x5, I think that's my best score so far. I'll check later. Anyone here gotten a legit 500?

I've done it on a few rare occasions. Some players do it consistently. But don't worry. Just keep playing and you'll see your scores go up and your solve times down.

I've also done it. As Laura says, just keep playing. You will become more consistent and your score will improve.
