New record time not showing

I have solved puzzles and gotten a "new record" time....at times on the same day I happen to get the exact same puzzle and the old record time is still showing....why doesn't my time show up as the new record?

The record time function hasn't been working since I started playing. It was probably going to be fixed with the overhaul that was promised back in October of 2011. However that overhaul is still not here...
