It is an acquired skill, like anything else, and just takes some practice. You were pretty close, I think you will get there! But you know, even if you don't, that's ok. Everyone's brains work a little differently, and it may be that this particular kind of puzzle isn't compatible with your brand of problem solving. Nothing wrong with that and it doesn't mean you are thick. Be kind to yourself
