Default Cheating

I discovered this by accident, but it seems that you can search for easier games by starting a new game, waiting for it to load and display "Start Puzzle", clicking on My Scores, and then going back to New Game for a fresh game with a different difficulty level or grid. You are NOT penalized in your success rate for doing this, so you could theoretically look for those 60%+ success rate games and hammer out a whole string of high scoring games.

You can simply search for your desired statistics by pressing "new game" at the top of the page until you like the statistics you see and choose to start that game. There are those who search this way for 4X4 puzzles to decrease there average times for the month. One can also do so to find harder puzzles...

It just seems kind of disingenuous, as one can avoid the tough puzzles in order to boost their scores. I guess it doesn't really matter as I see the best players tearing through games whether they're difficult or not. If nobody else seems to mind then I guess I'll start doing that if I'm in a situation where I might be interrupted and have to walk away from my game. Doing that has wreaked more havoc on my scores than anything else. Thanks for the swift reply!

Actually, I for a really long time used it to do only the more difficult puzzles. I only did puzzles with solve times of ten minutes or longer and solve rates of 50% and below. This allowed me to become proficient at solving all puzzles very quickly, thus posting fast times and high scores. IMHO, most of the really good solvers have evolved in a similar fashion.
