Default Lawyer Logic Question

F Lee Bailey often posed questions like: Is it not true that you never used the "N" word?

So, if you have never used the "N" word, which is the truthful answer, yes or no?

Also, contractions seem to open the door for confusion. If your name was Pugsley and someone asked: "Hey, isn't your name Pugsley"? What is the correct yes or no response?

Lawyers, particularly trial lawyers, are very careful to pose questions as to confuse. Their meat and drink is to get someone to say something they would never dream of saying.

Short answer: Lawyers and logic don't often go together.
