I understand your point, but it raises a question I've had. Should you have to make a choice? Shouldn't the clues give us enough? I too have made choices, I just wonder if I'm missing a clue...

It took me a while...

... to figure out you could cancel the shading by clicking outside the puzzle. Shading the clue you're working on is a clever idea, especially, "The five people are..."
