Clue 6 and the intersection of room 120 and third period means Spanish is either room 120 or 318, also Mr. Villarreal can only be 120 or 318.

I've had to use that approach on the harder ones occasionally. I've found the solve sometimes requires seeing that X is either Y or Z, then "what if" X=Y and follow the conclusion (on a notepad)...
