New Stat Request

Puzzles seem to have stats for percent solved and average time.
Is there anyone elso who would like to see Average time for correct ?

If a puzzle has 50 success, and average time of 5 mins: If you do it in 5 mins, you should only expect to be right 1/2 of the time. I'd like to know the average time for getting it correct :)

Yeah, most of mine are slower than average.

Thanks

I think that the times listed are for the correct solutions. It would be hard to assign a time to an incorrect solution since people can keep trying.

There is some point at which the server knows that you haven't done it correctly, that would be the time of failure; whether the 'connection is closed' or 'new puzzle' option is selected. Just another time to be factored in to the average. If it didn't, it would have to do it at 'new puzzle' or 'connection open' and both of those could be avoided for days, weeks or however long. During that interim, the person would have incorrect stats and could get 100% for a month though failing on the 24th. Which is why I thought the incorrect times could be factored into the average time. Finishing time and then boolean (y/n) for correct is the way I'd have done it.
hahaha, who cares. Aint no big thing either way.

My times are finally getting better and now I only look at the percent solved to see if I'm in for a hard one or not.

correct me if I am wrong, but the only time the server knows you are going to fail a puzzle is 24 hours after you start it. So you could factor in 24 hours to the average time for all of the fails.

if you don't solve a puzzle, you can click on the "recent games" link at the top and get back to it within 24 hours. I know that I have had my computer lock up in the middle of a puzzle and then went back and finished it after a reboot. I have also gotten stumped, worked another puzzle, then went back to the first one to try again.

Also, you cannot get 100% if they fail on the 24th of the month like you suggest. As soon as you start a game, that game counts towards your attempts. only after you successfully complete it does it count towards your solved total. If you start a game, then look at your stats while you are working it, you will see you have something less that 100%.

Yeah, didn't see that 24 hour window thing when I had originally made the post. Wish I would have knew about it earlier, would have fixed my other time too.
It's an excellent way to deal with server issues. Only drawback is it'll say 1 wrong when you still have a chance to correct it and get back to 0 wrong.
Doh, I guess I should have read your post before this post because you probably already stated both of these.
