Request a Hint
Does the request hint functionality give you the next logical answer or does it give you a random correct answer. When I get stuck, I usually request a hint but it does not help because I still do not see how they got that answer from the clues given. Thanks!
Dear John 81070;
Here's hoping I can help you. First of all you are aware that when you request a hint, you will not be given credit for solving the problem. But, if that is not your goal, I have found that the best thing to do is walk away from the puzzle for a while, and come back to it.
Some of the clues are not as easy as others so you need to start with the 4 or 5 if those are included in the clues. Do a series of deductions using those clues. Many people come the the same solution following different logic. Keep going over the clues again and again, and try to tune in with your own logic.
Sometimes the clues can be tricky, so you will need to be very careful when you read the clues. Reading them out loud may help.
One such clue which has tripped me up was reading too fast and not paying attention to the times, i.e.,
"6:30 am; 7:00am; 1:00pm; 6:30pm, and 10:00pm.
If you are not careful, you will mistake the 6:30am clue for the 6:30pm clue, or the 1:00pm clue, with the 10:00 pm clue.
Careful reading of the clues are better than some of the hints.
I love logic puzzles and if I can be of assistance to you, please let me know. I hope this helps.
Thanks rxs98. Taking a break does help. Often, I just missed something obvious once I take a break and come back.
When I go too fast, I sometimes check the wrong boxes. Then a minute later, I realize I made a mistake, but then I don't remember which boxes were clicked because I went too fast. Then it' accckkkk... time to start over... lol.
