background story for puzzles

Hey Stephen,

I am really enjoying the puzzles. I am usually pretty good with them, but I have gotten stuck and had to start over on several. In the puzzle books, there is a little story behind the puzzle. Sometimes there is useful information in that story, and sometimes not. Since you are not publishing the stories (which, by the way, would help put the entire thing into context for those who are new to the game), are you taking anything that might be a clue out of the back story and turning it into a clue?

Thanks!

There are no back stories for these puzzles, they're generated randomly. After you've played a while you'll notice the same names and categories appearing over and over again. That's why a lot of the answers don't make any sense. For example, once one of my final answers was an 82 year old named Helen who drank margaritas and played football.
